  • Take the stairs to your office.  No endless waiting for the lifts means you’ll get to your desk before all your colleagues.
  • Update your diary with important health days:
  • 31 May 2010 - World No Tobacco Day
  • 14 June 2010 – World Blood Donor Day
  • October 2010 – Breast Cancer Awareness Month
  • 14 November 2010 – World Diabetes Day
  • 1 December 2010 – World Aids Day
  • Call a friend and set up that squash/tennis/gym date you’ve been threatening for ages.  Just think… you’re making a difference to your own health and that of someone who matters to you.
  • Have your Body Mass Index (BMI), total body fat and blood pressure checked at your nearest Pick ‘n Pay Pharmacy.
  • Make a note to have your flu vaccination in March or April.
  • Feeling overwhelmed?  Take a deep breath and focus on relaxing the knot in your shoulders.  Then call us for information on stress management programmes being offered in an area near you.
  • Dreading the rush-hour traffic on your way home?  Speak to your Manager about the possibility of flexible working hours.
